A Revamp for ‘The Pav’ in Durban
For 23 years, the Pavilion Shopping Centre ('The Pav') has stood proudly overlooking the Durban CBD and Beachfront and is well-known to any Durban local or visitor. This very busy shopping mall (1.9million visitors per month) has been well overdue a facelift and a large expansion plan is underway, as well as a revamp to the existing shops. Hillaldam has been part of the action and we are very excited to see how our Stackaway 150 and 150GL systems have turned out for Stuttafords and Sportsmans Warehouse who are proudly displaying their new frameless glass shopfronts. More revamps to come... Hope you all enjoy your new shopping experience at The Pav!
Stackaway 150 makes a splash in Philadelphia!
During the month of May, Hillaldam was extremely excited and proud to have it's Stackaway 150 system showcased at the exclusive AIA conference in Philadelphia. Euro-Wall did a phenomenal job of creating the highlight of the show- the enormous 4m high doors which were showcasing our beautiful system. Throughout the show, we had architects lining up for information and specifications. Exciting times ahead!
The All New Rosebank Mall
Here at Hillaldam we love the challenge of working on Shopping Malls- both brand new and refurbished. No matter what might be involved in ensuring that the brief is met, the client is happy and the shop is looking fantastic before opening day, we love knowing that our name sits proudly behind the final outcome; a beautiful new store-front, complementing a beautiful new store, which will have thousands of feet pass by it every day.
Take, for example the refurbished Rosebank Mall. The new-look centre is designed along an oval ‘racetrack’ format. Hillaldam was involved in the design and production of over 35 new store fronts in a short space time. One of these was for the Woolworths Premium Store which required a completely frameless glass curved stackable entrance to reflect the 'racetrack' design. Thanks to MDS Architects for specifying Hillaldam Sliding Door Systems on this project. It was great to be part of the team once again!
